Hennepin and Ramsey saw the largest population growth numerically, but suburban counties surrounding the Twin Cities also experienced big increases. Percentage-wise, the largest gains were on the southwest side of the metro. Carver and Scott counties each rose in population by more than 10 percent in the past seven years.
